Board Member Feature: Deborah Bowers

Deborah values cultural diversity and Folklorama holds a special place in her heart.  She looks forward to continuing to serve on the Board of Directors as Chair, Licensing Committee, helping the organization embrace change and plan for the future.

She served on the Board of Directors for the Manitoba Chapter of the Canadian Public Relations Society and is currently active with the national organization, contributing to accreditation exams. Deborah is also a member of the Manitoba Métis Federation.

Deborah has worked in government, as an entrepreneur, and for an international consulting firm. Deborah also served as Folklorama’s Director of Marketing & Communications from 2012 to 2015.  Currently, she is Communications Lead for the Planning, Property & Development Department for the City of Winnipeg.
