Perth’s, Western Canada’s largest dry cleaner, has been a proud partner of Folklorama for almost 30 years.

Started by newcomers to Canada over 100 years ago, Perth’s is still locally owned today. With nine locations throughout the city including, two that are drive-thrus, Perth’s is conveniently located for their customers needs.  They provide all types of cleaning for clothing, rugs, and household items and even offer a freshly folded laundry service on a required or subscription basis. They also offer free pick-up and delivery to your home or office.

“We are grateful for Perth’s long-standing partnership with Folklorama”, states Kim Morphy, Director, Festival Operations & Partnerships.  “They not only provide donations, but they offer cleaning of many cultural attires, flags, and tablecloths that require the delicate touch and attention to detail.”

“When we receive delicate cultural attire for cleaning, we take great care of each item’s individuality,” states Diana Emmons, Vice President, Perth’s.  “Each one is inspected and carefully determined what type of cleaning method is best for it.  It may be completely cleaned by hand or processed in one of our machines.  The custom garments will then be hand finished by our specialty pressers and packaged to ensure they will be ready for the next performance/event.”

For Perth’s, being a part of the community and supporting the celebration of cultures is very rewarding.

“Attending the Pavilions is an excellent way for families and friends to create their own traditions and memories too, “states Emmons. “Learning about traditions, sampling the food, and taking in the entertainment at the Pavilions allow us to appreciate the community and cultures of those we may be surrounded by daily. “
