Folklorama Group Tour Programs: Bachelorette Parties

When you think of the Folklorama Group Tour Programs, most think of a lovely evening seeing two to three Pavilions, the V.I.P. treatment, table service, and the incredible volunteer Folklorama Tour Guide that accompanies you. Most people don’t know that the trend the department is seeing is custom-themed Folklorama tours. From backward tours, , to anniversary parties with families in tow, to even Bachelorette parties like the one Katie Hepp (nee Whyte). planned last summer.

I’ve known about the VIP tours since I started attending Folklorama a few years ago, but I had never considered organizing one as I thought you had to belong to an organization of some sort,” states Hepp. “I was scrolling Facebook one day and saw an ad for Folklorama. It said, Plan your VIP Tour and I instantly thought of my bachelorette party.”

Hepp gauged her family and friend’s interest and all twenty-six were in for this adventure. Hepp contacted the Group Tour Programs department and they set her and her team up to visit the Pavilion of Scotland, the Métis Pavilion and ended the night at the German Pavilion.

“At the Pavilion of Scotland, the bagpiper led us into the hall to our table – I love the bagpipes, so it was the perfect way to kick off the evening,” states Hepp. “From there we went to the Métis Pavilion – the Asham Stompers were incredible, they were a huge hit with our crew. We ended at the German Pavilion where my Maid of Honour and I were called up on-stage for the final dance/song – a great way to end the night! Our ages ranged from 19 to 78 and we all had a blast. Tour Guide, Linda is definitely a hoot!.”

Thank you, Katie Hepp, family, and friends for celebrating this special time with Folklorama.
