The Access Impact
Folklorama has numerous goals for the future. One of those is being more environmentally responsible with its day-to-day operations. Thanks to companies like Access, Folklorama is achieving these goals one step at a time.
Founded in 2004, Access is the largest privately-held records and information management services provider worldwide, with more than 150 offices conveniently located across the United States, Canada, Central and South America.
Their mission is to advance how the world manages information with the very best service. In fact, Access helps millions of people protect their information at more than 33,000 organizations – including Folklorama’s for the past nine years. They are experts at managing the entire information lifecycle, including paper, digital, or a combination of both.
“Creating a smaller footprint is important to Folklorama,” states Kim Morphy, Director, Festival Operations & Partnerships. “Being a non-for-profit organization, it’s important to align with companies like Access that can help Folklorama reach our goals.”
The partnership not only aligns on Folklorama’s side but also on Access’.
“Folklorama teaches about diversity which is a big part of the Access culture,” states Graham Martin, Operation Manager, Manitoba, Access. “We love what Folklorama stands for and everything they do to incorporate diversity and promoting cultural understanding in the Manitoban Community.”
Making a difference together is always an ideal partnership.
As April is Earth Month and a call to action for sustainable change, Martin sums it up perfectly quoting Activist, Jane Goodall.
“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of a difference you want to make.”
Thank you, Graham, and the entire team at Access for helping Folklorama work towards its environmental impact.
