Paying it Forward
Over two decades ago and after 15 years of senior-level payroll services industry experience, Payworks founder, Barb Gamey, recognized gaps in the market and the subsequent opportunities that could be addressed by creating a unique value offering that paired the latest technology with a truly customer-centric service philosophy.
Since then, Payworks has been a leading expert in the field of total workforce management solutions, providing cloud-based Payroll, Human Resources, Employee Time, and Absence Management to businesses across Canada. Headquartered in Winnipeg, Payworks has grown to employ almost 350 staff across 10 regional offices and maintains an industry-leading 98% client retention rate.
Each day, Payworks delivers on its purpose: “doing right by people.” Developed with their employees, this serves as their guiding principle both inside and outside the office, whether through their customer relationships or community support initiatives.
“Since 2019, Payworks has shown their commitment to community involvement as a proud partner of Folklorama”, states Kim Morphy, Director, Festival Operations & Partnerships. “It’s companies like Payworks that help Folklorama continue to move the dial on diversity education and the celebration of culture. We look forward to developing the partnership for years to come.”
Community is important to Payworks. Whether it’s working with one of their national charitable partnerships, their milestone 20th anniversary donations project, or other local initiatives, Payworks remains committed to making a meaningful impact in the communities they call home across Canada.
“Payworks is honoured to support Folklorama in celebrating so many of the cultures that contribute to everyday Canadian life,” says JP Perron, Payworks President & CEO. “In welcoming all to enjoy the traditions and values that our neighbours hold dear, Folklorama helps to build the bridges of understanding that are so crucial to a truly inclusive society. We thank the many Folklorama team members and volunteers who make it their annual mission to move our community closer to this goal.”
Thank you, Payworks, for being part of the Folklorama Family!
