At Folklorama, we know how powerful storytelling can be, especially when it’s in your hands. That’s why we’re proud to work with Premier Printing, the team behind the vibrant, high-quality Travel Guide that helps visitors navigate the magic of our Festival each summer.

Premier Printing doesn’t just print Travel Guides—they bring them to life. “We’re always thrilled to see our printed products ‘in the wild’,” says Dave Gortemaker, Vice President of Business Development. “Print is still one of the most tactile, memorable, and easily referenced forms of communication. We love to see it supporting industries like tourism and culture, especially at Folklorama!”

The process of producing the Travel Guide starts with the Folklorama operations team, who collect detailed Pavilion information, select imagery, and work with designers on the layout. Once the file is ‘print-ready’, Premier Printing takes over with precision. The Travel Guides are printed, folded, gathered, saddle-stitched, trimmed, bundled, and boxed—ready to head into the hands of thousands of Folklorama fans. This year, Premier Printing produced a whopping 52,000 Travel Guides!

But for Premier Printing, Folklorama is about more than print, it’s about people. “We’re honoured to support communities that represent diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds,” Dave shares. “Our team reflects that same diversity, with staff from various origins, including first-generation immigrants to Canada.”

As fans of the Festival themselves, Premier Printing looks forward to Folklorama each year, not just for the cultural performances, but for the full sensory experience. “It’s about what you can see, touch, smell, taste, and hear,” Dave explains “Folklorama isn’t just a visual treat—it’s a celebration that engages every sense. And every year, there’s something new to discover.”
