Take Folklorama to school and bring your students’ curriculum to life!

Folklorama At School encourages hands-on learning in the classroom, daycare or day camp! Through workshops and performances, our ethno-cultural entertainers will take your students or groups (of any age) on a cultural adventure they’ll never forget! The program is designed to help students appreciate and respect cultural differences, and motivate students to take pride in their own cultural heritage, all while meeting with the Manitoba curriculum. Booking a performer, hands-on workshop or mini-Folklorama is easy!

Poorany Williams – Indian Folk and Classical Dancing

Poorany Williams, head instructor of the India School of Dance, Music and Theatre conducts an interactive workshop of Indian Folk Dancing. Accompanied by a couple of her own students, Poorany will demonstrate basic steps, meaning, and the different forms of Indian folk dancing.
