The Brady Academy of Irish Dance is recognized for its talented dancers and fusion of traditional Irish Dance choreography with more well-known stepdance choreography from popular shows such as Lord of the Dance. The dancers wear beautifully crafted customized costumes and move rhythmically in time to amaze the audience with their skills and talent.
The Brady Academy of Irish Dance is one of the largest Irish Dance schools in Western Canada, with two schools in Alberta, one in Saskatchewan and one in Manitoba. The Winnipeg division is under the direction of National Irish Dance Champion and Lord of the Dance star, Philip Brady.
The dancers compete regularly in interprovincial and national competitions and more advanced dancers compete in competitions such as the North American Irish Dance Championships and the World Irish Dance Championships. The dancers also travel around the world performing in various festivals and shows including Disney World and have shared the stage with accomplished performers such as Natalie MacMaster, Spirit of the West, and Rawlins Cross. The dancers can be seen every summer as they entertain at the Celtic Pavilion during Folklorama.
