While the beautiful and cultural islands of Polynesia share similarities, each island is unique and has specific songs and dance, cultural practices and arts that are special to its’ people. In this workshop, you will learn about the exotic island Rapa Nui (formally known as Easter Island or Isla de Pascua in Spanish). Learn basic words and vocabulary in Rapa Nui language, try your hand at traditional dances, and become acquainted with different pieces of cultural attire and wardrobe! You are cordially invited!

Carolina Fuentes is originally from Chile and has lived in Canada for the past 5 years. She is a Chilean dancer and choreographer, and a former member of Mauco Chilean Folk Ensemble. Carolina is also a former ambassador at the Chilean Pavilion at Folklorama.
